Mouse
Included with Macro DeckClick, move the pointer, drag and scroll on your computer from a button.
The Overview tab of the Mouse integration with the on switch and no configuration options
- Single, double and triple clicks with any mouse button
- Move the pointer to a screen position or by an offset
- Drag from one point to another
- Scroll up, down, left or right
- Hold a button down and release it later
The Mouse integration makes Macro Deck use the mouse of the computer it runs on, as if you moved and clicked it yourself. It comes with Macro Deck, is turned on from the start and has nothing to set up. On macOS it needs the Accessibility permission once, the same one the Keyboard integration uses.
What you can do
- Click clicks a Button (left, right, middle, back or forward) with a single, double or triple click, at the pointer or at a position you set. Repeat sends several clicks in a row.
- Move Cursor moves the pointer to screen coordinates or by an offset from where it is.
- Drag presses a button, moves from a start to an end point and releases it. Drag Duration and Intermediate Steps make the movement slow enough for apps that ignore an instant jump.
- Scroll turns the wheel by a number of Notches, up, down, left or right, optionally at a position.
- Hold Mouse Button and Release Mouse Button keep a button pressed until you let it go, for example for a button that holds the left mouse button while you move the mouse by hand.
- Release All Mouse Buttons lets go of every button Macro Deck holds, in case a hold or drag gets stuck.
Positions are in desktop pixels. The toolbar of the widget editor shows the current pointer position, so you can point at a spot on the screen and copy its coordinates into the action.
Example setups
- A button that clicks the "Next" button of a slide app at a fixed position, for presentations without a remote.
- A button that scrolls a web page or a chat window down by five notches.
- A button that double-clicks at a fixed position, followed by a Wait and a Click somewhere else, to repeat a task in an app without shortcuts.
- A button that moves the pointer to the center of your second screen.
Macro Deck releases all held mouse buttons when it shuts down.
What you need
- Macro Deck 3 on Windows, macOS or Linux
- On macOS, the Accessibility permission for Macro Deck
- On Linux, an X11 session (in a Wayland session, moving to a fixed position may not work)
Set it up
Step 1: Check that the integration is turned on
In the sidebar, click Integrations and then Mouse. The switch at the top right is on by default. There is nothing to set up: the Configuration section on the Overview tab shows No configuration options available for this integration.
Step 2: Allow Accessibility on macOS
On macOS, Macro Deck asks for the Accessibility permission when it starts. If the Mouse page shows Accessibility permission required, click Grant permission and turn on Macro Deck under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Restart Macro Deck if the mouse still does not move.
Step 3: Add a Mouse action to a button
On the Deck page, make sure the deck is unlocked (the button at the top right reads Lock) and click a button. The editor opens with Short Press selected. Click + Add action, choose Mouse on the left of the Add action dialog (or type in Search actions...) and pick Click, Move Cursor, Drag, Scroll or another Mouse action.
Step 4: Set the button and the position
Choose the Button and the Click Type. Under Position, keep At the current pointer position, or choose At screen coordinates and enter X and Y. To find the coordinates, move the mouse to the spot and read the position in the widget editor toolbar.
Step 5: Press the button
Click Save and press the button on your phone, tablet or deck. The pointer moves and clicks on the computer that runs Macro Deck.

Frequently asked questions
Is a double click the same as two clicks?
No. Apps tell them apart, so a double click is one gesture. Choose Double click under Click Type instead of setting Repeat to 2.
Why does horizontal scrolling do nothing?
Scrolling left or right needs a mouse or trackpad that supports wheel tilt, and the app has to support it too.
I use a left-handed mouse setting. Which button is clicked?
Button names the physical button. The swap setting of your operating system still applies, so a left-handed setup behaves like your real mouse.
Does it work on Linux with Wayland?
Partly. In a Wayland session, mouse input runs through XWayland: clicking, dragging and scrolling work, but moving to fixed coordinates may land somewhere else or do nothing. Without an X server, the Mouse page shows Mouse simulation unavailable.
A mouse button is stuck. What can I do?
Run Release All Mouse Buttons. It is a good idea to keep a button with this action next to buttons that hold or drag.
